Baeta Recipe ❘ Bolo Baeta (Brazilian Milk Cake)

Brazilian bolo baeta, or 'milk cake', is gorgeously moist and a unique change from the norm. One of the most popular cakes in Northeastern Brazil, it's very easy to do as it's whipped up in a blender.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 quart milk
  • 3 cups confectioners' sugar, or more to taste
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 lime, zested
  • 1 pinch salt

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9-inch tube pan.
  2. Blend flour, milk, sugar, eggs, butter, lime zest, and salt together in a blender until smooth. Pour batter into prepared tube pan.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until cake is golden brown, about 30 minutes.
