Sauce Recipe ⋆ Ground Beef Marsala Sauce

I made this recipe up when I was out of chicken, and it came out pretty good! I enjoy serving it over tortellini.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup dry Marsala wine
  • ½ cup dry sherry
  • ½ cup water

Cooking Directions

  1. Cook the ground beef with the garlic and mushrooms in a large skillet over high heat until no pink remains, about 10 minutes; do not drain. Add the flour and continue to cook for five minutes.
  2. Pour in the Marsala wine, sherry, and water. Stir and bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer covered for 10 minutes. Serve over the pasta of your choice.
